                                                source The Gujarat High Court on Friday acquitted former BJP Minister Maya kodnani and upheld the conviction of Bajrang Dal leader Babu Bajrangi in the Naroda Patiya riots case 2002.   That killing in Ahmedabad was the one of the worst attacks of the 2002 post Godhra riots,in which 97 people were Killed.  Naroda Patiya is 10 km from the city of Ahmedabad.  In 2012, SIT cases had sentenced 32 accused people including Kodnani and Babu Bajrangi to the life imprisonment.  The trial could had held that bought of both of them were the mastermind of the violence in Naroda area, as their post Godhra speech erupted violence.  On on 20 April 2018 at division bench of Justice Harsh Devani and A S Supehiya pronounced the verdict.
